Throwdown Rules

Or, How to Win at Geekdom:

1. Whichever combatant has read the most pages between 1 January and 31 December 2012 is the winner, i.e, the Ultimate Book Geek.
2. Only books count.  All books count.
3. Each combatant is allowed one 'reread' per quarter to count toward the page total.  Any other trips down memory lane are off-contest.
4. The combatants are not obligated to read the same books.
5. Books begun prior to 1 January only contribute pages that have been read within the contest dates.
6. Books that remain unfinished by 31 December will not be counted toward the page total.
7. Each combatant will maintain a running tally of books and pages read, as well as provide bi-monthly posts on successes, failures, tactics, and strategy.
8. Trash-talking is permitted and encouraged.
9. Gentleman's Rules apply to all other discrepancies.  Geekdom is honorable.
